The Yadav are primarily found in India and number approximately 58 million. Before they were called Yadav, they were called Ahir which is an immigrant tribe from Central Asia. Yadav are easily known because after introducing their name the title Yadav follows. They are herdsmen and laborers, and they claim their community is the one into which Krishna was born because he was a herdsman. In some Indian states, the Yadav are politically influential and have noteworthy occupations such as doctors, engineers, and businessmen. They are virtually all Hindu, and many Yadav never hear the name of Jesus in their lifetime.
Engagement // What’s Happening Now
Many people in India face issues of malnutrition, disease, sanitation, and other health-related issues. Compassion Link is an international ministry that specializes in health-related services. Pray that through compassion and aid the love of God will be made known to many people and Yadav in India.

There are over 2,100 unreached people groups in India with 1.2 billion unreached. The Yadav is one of the largest unreached people groups in India. Eurasia communities’ big dream is to realize a church-planting movement among every people group in Eurasia. Pray for more workers to reach the numerous unreached people in India.
