South Asian, Bengali-Speaking in Oman

The Bengali are indigenous to the Bengal region which is the area between Bangladesh and West Bengal. Bengalis are typically classified according to their shared language; however, culture varies from people group to people group. They are primarily farmers and fishers and live in villages of 100 to 1000 people. Bengali marriages are arranged, and men typically work outside and women work inside. Most Bengalis are Muslim, and those in Oman are nearly all Muslim.

Engagement // What’s Happening Now

Sustainability // The Bigger Story

There are over 225 million Bengali speaking people spread across numerous countries. Pray for those in countries where the gospel is accessible, that opportunities to minister to Bengali will open doors to bringing the gospel to those in Arab World.

Partnership // Move Beyond
  • Pray God provides opportunities and open doors to share the gospel with Bengali in Oman.
  • Pray for Bengali people around the world, that God would reveal himself to them.
  • Pray for Bengali people who have no hope, that Jesus would be a light in their life.
