The Rohingya are from a province in Eastern Asia and live throughout Asia Pacific. There are about 1,565,000 Rohingya living in Asia Pacific with 0.00% known followers of Jesus. The Rohingya are very devout to Islam and strictly adhere to Muslim religious practices. They live in villages and are considered to be one of the most displaced minorities in the world. Social bonding is very important and many of the Rohingya communities are characterized by their high bamboo walls which surround their houses. In recent years civil unrest and religious oppression have caused many Rohingya people to seek refuge and leave their homes.

Sustainability // The Bigger Story
Currently, there are not very many global workers who work with the Rohingya people. Many have been displaced and are moving to countries where access to the Gospel is available. Pray that the national churches and workers in these countries may reach out to the Rohingya people.
Partnership // Move Beyond
Please spend a few minutes in prayer for:
- Pray for more laborers, currently, there are very few workers amongst the Rohingya.
- Pray that Jesus may reveal himself in peace and comfort even though many are currently displaced and seeking refuge.
- A Bible in the Rohingya language does not exist, pray for the completion of a Bible translation in their native language.
