Punjabi in Oman

The Punjabi are mostly located in India and Pakistan, although many have spread to other countries, such as those in Oman. One result of having their roots in India and Pakistan is that the Punjabi have a somewhat mixed religious background, with roots in both Hinduism and Islam. Sikhism is another major religion for the Punjabi, which is a mixture of both Islam and Hinduism. The aim of Sikhism is to seek “one god who transcends all religions.” There are around 65 thousand Punjabi in Oman, with only around 0.14% Evangelical among them.*

Sustainability — The Bigger Story

Because of the religious diversity of the Punjabi and the pursuit of many for “one god who transcends religion”, we have a great opportunity to share the love of God with them and show them the one God who transcends all religion that they have been seeking.

– Pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully among the Punjabi.
