Lebanese Arabs

Lebanese Arabs are found throughout Eurasia and around the world. with less than 0.50% of the population considering themselves evangelical. Lebanese Arabs are predominantly Muslim and typically live in village settlements which have been constructed as fortresses and are easily defended. Social presence is a major component of their communities. Lebanese tribesmen are known to dress differently than other villagers with distinct clothing which is recognizable by other tribes. *

Engagement // What’s Happening Now

There is a growing presence of Christianity among Lebanese Arabs, but the presence of Evangelical Christians is still very low, with only about 0.40% of the people being Evangelical.

Sustainability // The Bigger Story

A few years ago, an initiative to train believers in this region was implemented. There has been a desire by new followers to delve deep into scripture and study the Word of God. The purpose of this initiative is to hold intensive lectures which allow believers in this region to be equipped to share the good news of Jesus with the least reached.

Partnership // Move Beyond

  • Pray for the few Lebanese Arab Christians to be emboldened by the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel.
  • Pray for Lebanese Arab women – most women veil in public and at home – pray that their hearts may be unveiled by Jesus’ truth.
  • Pray for God to draw workers to translate the Word of God; currently, a complete Bible in their native language does not exist.
