The United Kingdom is home to two Berber people groups, the Kabyle and the Imazighen. The Kabyle are originally from the coastal mountain regions of northern Algeria. They live on the hilltops in houses built of stone and red-tiled roofs. Most are shepherds or farmers, and the men typically wear white robes with turbans. The Imazighen are from Morocco in the wooded high Atlas Mountains. They are referred to as the Central Shilha, and they too live semi-nomadic lives as shepherds. Both groups are virtually Muslims, however in rural areas, traditional believes and traditions persist alongside Islam.Engagement // What’s Happening Now
Say Hello is an initiative geared toward reaching Muslim women. They believe that Muslim women are more likely to come to Christ through a personal friendship with Christian women. Consider joining their prayer network and pray for Muslim women, that through compassion and love, they would come to Christ.Readers, Writers, and Speakers
The Kabyle have a complete Bible in their language, however, the Imazighen do not have either Testaments in their language. Pray for a translation in their language as well as audio and video language resources.Partnership // Move Beyond
