Arab, Syrian in Qatar

The country of Qatar is a peninsula extending into the Persian Gulf off Saudi Arabia. The Arabian Peninsula is considered the original homeland of Arabs. Syrian Arabs are part of the larger Levant Arab group which includes Jordanian, Palestinian, Iraqi, and Chaldean Arabs. These people groups are closely associated with Islam and Arab culture and language. There are approximately 207,000 Syrian Arabs in Qatar.

Engagement // What’s Happening Now

Live Dead believes that the primary issue with reaching Muslims in the Arab world is the lack of access to the gospel. Therefore, they seek to plant churches throughout the Arab world. Pray for them and that God sends more workers willing to serve in Muslim areas such as Qatar.

Sustainability // The Bigger Story

There are over 15 million Syrian Arabs in 36 countries. Pray for Syrian Arabs in countries with access to the gospel, that churches and believers in those countries would show compassion to them and share the gospel with them.

Partnership // Move Beyond
  • Pray God would reveal himself to Syrian Arabs through dreams and visions.
  • Pray God calls workers to plant churches in Qatar.
  • Pray for Syrian Christians that God would give them peace and protection as they live their lives in Christ.
