Arab, Qatar of Qatar

Qatar is a Peninsula that extends off Saudi Arabia. Qatar Arabs have minimal differences from their Saudi counterparts, primarily they speak a form of Arabic called Arabiya. Otherwise, they live similar lifestyles and practice Islam. Many live semi-nomadic lifestyles; they live in tents made of animal hair, and their primary belongings are their tents and herds. They align with a fundamentalist sect of Islam called Hanbalite (Wahhabite) Muslims which follows the traditional practices of Islam. There are few Christians among them due to the strictness of their religious life.

Partnership // Move Beyond
  • Pray for open doors and opportunities for churches to be planted in Qatar.
  • Pray for willing men and women to dedicate their lives to sharing the gospel with the Qatar Arabs.
  • Pray for how God may be asking you to participate in the effort of spreading the gospel in the Arab world.

“Hear my cry, O God;

listen to my prayer” (Psalm 61:1, NIV).
