Palestinian Arabs are part of the large Levant Arab group which includes Iraqi, Chaldean, and Syrian Arabs. They can be found throughout the Middle East and some in North Africa. Though they have settled in towns, tribal affiliations still exist. Tribes are ruled by Islamic experts called sheiks. Arabs also value social life, so they share daily coffee time with friends. There is a small group of Christian Palestinian Arabs but most Palestinian Arabs are Muslim.Partnership // Move Beyond
- Pray for open hearts as the gospel is shared to Palestinian Arabs.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12, NIV).
- Pray for spiritual freedom in their lives as they accept the gospel.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18, NIV).
- Pray God empowers Christian Palestinian Arabs to live out their faith.
“Answer me when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer” (Psalm 4:1, NIV).
