Arab, Lebanese in Qatar

The Lebanese Arabs come from the region called “the Levant,” which includes the countries of the northern Arabian Peninsula. They originally spoke Aramaic and followed Canaanite culture, now most Levant Arabs are devoted followers of Islam and are influenced by Arab Culture. They are organized by tribes who are led by sheiks (Islamic experts), and they live along fertile regions such as mountain foothills. There are approximately 233,000 Lebanese Arabs in Qatar.

Partnership // Move Beyond
  • Pray for church planting teams in Qatar, that God will pour out his Spirit on those churches.
  • Pray for guidance as workers share the gospel with Muslims.
  • Pray God reveals himself to Lebanese Arabs through dreams and visions.

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:4-5, NIV).
