Arabs are one of the largest and most influential Muslim group in the world, numbering more than 250 million. The second largest majority of Arab, Iraqis live in Jordan. The two primary characteristics of an Arab is the ability to speak Arabic and identify with Arab culture. The majority of Arabs today do not live as desert shepherds, but rather live in urban centers and adopted western urbanization. Identification with Arab culture is important, especially as Arabs immigrate to other countries. Arabs are predominantly Sunni Muslim.
