Arab-All in Netherlands

There are eight Arab groups in the Netherlands including Egyptian, Iraqi, Lebanese, Moroccan, Saudi, Sudanese, Syrian, and Tunisian Arabs. The original Arabs stem from the Arabian Peninsula, and over time spread across the Middle East and North Africa. Many have also migrated to Europe for work and education. There are approximately 66,000 Arabs in the Netherlands.

Engagement // What’s Happening Now

Based in Maastricht, Netherlands, Serve the City is an initiative set forth by Michael and Charissa Steyn. With the cooperation of three churches and 80 volunteers, they served the city by renovating school playgrounds, cleaning neighborhoods, and build rehabilitation houses for homeless teenagers. There are many Arab students in Maastricht. Pray that the efforts to engage the community will reach Arab students.

Sustainability // The Bigger Story

There are over 250 million Arabs around the world. Pray for spiritual breakthrough in Arab communities. Consider joining a Jumaa Prayer Fellowship, a prayer initiative that unites 60,000 believers in prayer for the Muslim world.

Partnership // Move Beyond
  • Pray for the Assemblies of God in the Netherlands, that they would extend love to Arabs in their communities.
  • Pray for God provides them opportunities to share the gospel with Arabs.
  • Pray Arab hearts would be open to hear the gospel.
